Judith Olsen
Judith is the firm's principal solicitor. She has over 25 years experience practising in family law and property law and is widely sought after for her understanding of complex family law, property and children's matters.
Judith understands that separation, parenting and property disputes can make you feel uncertain and anxious. She aims to communicate clearly the law and your options with a view to resolving your matter in a cost effective way using negotiation, mediation and if necessary, litigation.
She is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and has been appointed by the Legal Aid Commission to represent children in parenting matters.
Prior to her admission, Judith was a high school teacher in Newcastle public schools. She is the mother of three adult children and in her spare time enjoys reading, music, live theatre and attempting to keep fit.

Jae Chang
Jae has practiced exclusively within the area of Family Law since his admission as a solicitor in 2016. Prior to his admission, Jae worked in the prestigious role as a Judge’s Associate in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. Before joining Boyd Olsen Lawyers, Jae practiced as a solicitor at the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales advocating in complex parenting matters at Sydney and Parramatta. In 2017, Jae was awarded Junior Lawyer of the Year at the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales.
Jae has a broad range of experience in all areas of Family Law, having been involved in child support, parenting and property settlement matters involving complex issues and allegations of family violence and abuse. He is also often found appearing as an agent representing clients before the Court on behalf of other legal practitioners.
Jae is currently a panel solicitor of the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales.
